From all the @!#$ i have heard about these cams over the past couple months, it makes me belive their is something wrong with the cams/grinds. Unless your trying to make it come across like there are many many ppl that have installed the cams wrong and getting crap for luck, but i see it like this. WHY pay 700-900 for CAMS when A) they are causing so much headaches, and B) are unproven.

I know its really hard to tell over the internet b/c their could be so many other issues with the car/etc. but hearing this much bad about these cams leads me to belive something IS wrong. Still no word back on the full cam specs but then again i dont expect to.

I do belive that when these Cams are setup proper (wether they want to be advanced in timing, etc) they should make more than the 6hp mark... but its going to have to take someone to step up with adj cam gears and do the dirty work. If their is anyone in Minisota my offer is still open for a weekend of dyno work, but we have to work out a date/time.

I am expecting my cams from QBE soon. I live in Minnesota, a bit north of the cities too.

To add to my above post:

Roy is also located in Minnesota and has an ecotec with cams (though they are JBP cams).

What sort of credentials do you have as far as tuning these cars? I am not just going to hand my car over to some guy and let him tune it.

for all you guys who love the jbp cams you have no clue what you are talking about. I know who grinds the jbp cams and I know who does the levelzero cams. I am so tired of you guuys complaing about @!#$ well guess what it is the same company that does both. The only differance is the guy who grinds them thought it would be a better pfofile that the level zero motorsports has. After the testing on Jasons car all parties agreed. The problem with a stock ecu is that every mod reacts differantly when put together. you cannot expect a company to try every option on a car for mods. There is way to many to try. It worked very well on the test car. You cannot run a modede car on a stock ecu alone. If it was boosted and it threw light would we be having these kind of posts. I have said all I am going to say on this matter except these are the reasons there are more honda shops.

i dont have the cams but i know darkstars has had my scanner since he got thewse things and it throws a code everyday and i want to be there to see dyno results

Sure, drive here and pay for the dyno, I'll gladly run it again, on a different dyno even.. Like I said before, I haven't had any problems with the cams, I've got no reaon to lie about it. It's too bad/I don't know why so many people claim to have problems, my feeling is that they probably are out a notch at least somewhere. Since the ecotecs don't really have conventional cam timing marks, it's not easy to retime the cams, once a gear has been slipped, one way or the other. As far as codes go, we will see once I throw in my next set of mods, if I get any codes. Right now, I get a code maybe every 3-4 weeks that clears itself quickly, if I don't clear it, car drives the same with it on too.. I think it's the idle too rich code(lope), no other codes than that.

I doubt you'll get the money back. Kind of like beta testing really. With no proven track record, you took a risk. It didn't work out.

That was more directed towards Manitoba Motorsports.

Sorry to see you get so frustrated over this. Good luck.

Kinda bringing this post back from the dead, but after a couple of weeks with the cams installed it finally threw a CEL. It's only been on for about a day but the car is runnin like sh!t...just b4 the car threw a cel, it was runnin the best that it has...my gas milage wasn't too bad and i could almost tell a difference performance wise. I'm hopin it will go away by itself, if not i'll just get it checked and cleared. Also, I think of all the cars that have put in these cams i'm about as close as it gets to the test car, modification wise and they still aren't running right. The only difference between my car and the test at the moment is a catback exhaust, which i doubt makes much of a diffrence in this case.

But anyways, what's going on with the LZM guys? I know people are saying not to b!tch and that they're working on a solution, but where are they? Some updates or something would make me feel alot better about spending $700 (cdn) on what are basically right now two pieces of metal...If i don't hear from anyone from LZM soon or someone with a solution, i'm basically going to consider myself scammed and figure out what i can do about it...

We are still here and noone has been scammed. We have been keeping quiet simple becasue we are focused on working on this problem, working on cars, and working on new products. We have made some great headway but I prefer not to divuldge the details until we can confim the results in a second car. Once we have done that we will divuldge the details and how we plan to address the issues of our existing clients.

On a side note, we were speaking with a contact at a major cam manufacturer and he said they experienced many of the same issues we have. He also said we were actually having better results with our cams then they did with the profiles they tested. Sort of wish I had known this a few months ago. Oh well, we are really close and still stand by our commitment to our clients and our goals to produce streetable products for the serious enthusiasts. Although I think out new disclaimer is going to be "Not for use in a motor vehicle."

As always I will continue to keep everyone upto date and try to stay abreast of the posts on the org. Official updates will be done via email to email addresses provided to us when you placed your order.

anythign you want to try my car will be a test mule hell I already tried @!#$in aorund with the knock sensor (which by the way the car has never gone into limp mode since but yes still gets codes) and I took the time to actually pull the side cover and everythign apart to double check 100% poitive that cam timing is correct, if my cam timing is wrong I will volunteer to sitdown and swallow AA batteries unitll it kills me hahaha

Re: installed my LZM cams today

This just in: the stock head can not flow much more air than the stock cams provide. Once you port/polish your head, you will see much better results.. the same as with any hotter cam.
