actually i had to drop alot of fuel tanks to fix the seal for the pump/sending unit , i used to for chevy , and it was real common for the seal to roll over and cause a leak

I had a CEL once after I disconnected the battery over night.
went off after a few driving cycles.
im now at about 60k miles <br>

i guess its a newer cav thing? who knows, but i have 78 thou miles and the only code the car has ever threw was the check engine when i first bought it and didnt realize that you couldnt leave the car running while the gas cap was off <br>
by a weird chance and no one said it! is it an automatic cause gm wants a trans flush at 60K!
Its not my cavaliers fault, its a taco burner!
91k right now on my 99 2200, no wrench light. i usually pull the drl relay to disable the drl's, just open your door, pop the fuse cover off, pull it out. on my car, i lose my left front hi beam though, as gm decided to wire it this way. my haynes manual doesnt show this, but the gm ones i have at work do.
I heart the EVAP, NOT mine has been shot for 30,000 miles now. Who cares about the enviroment anyways.

my car has to be stoped, i tried it before

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
147000+ and no light itsa 96 though
hey, same thing as my '00. almost 50k and my CEL came on. I had the code read and they said it was an EVAP code. I gotta tighten the gas cap more and clear the code and see what happens. I was also told it could also be the evap solenoid or even a vacuum line. Im'a try the gas cap thing first. though.
my cel came on aound 64500 on my eco, it goes in tuesday
That happened to me at around 30,000 miles. I was on my way across state...a 6 hour drive. 3/4 of the way there, it happened. I just continued on and stopped at a store where my parents shopped for a few hours. I checked all my fluids and stuff and everything was OK. Then when it was time to leave, it never came back on...and hasn't ever since. I'm at 70,000 miles now.
I have access to alldata thru my work. well the other day i was pretty bored, so i was just wandering thru it. i came accross the section that talks about the dash lights.
Service Wrech Light
If this light is on, it indicates a problem in one of the electronically monitored systems (a non-emissions related powertrain malfunction). This light does NOT come on at certain mileage intervals.
There is probably a Engine Control Module (ECM) or a Body Control Module (BCM) Code set that will aid you in diagnosis.
RESET PROCEDURE
The only way to get the light to go off is to clear the ECM or BCM code(s).
This light can NOT be reset or shut off any other way.
ECM/BCM codes should be read & repaired before clearing them.
I do not know for sure, but I think the little WRENCH LIGHT is on the Canadian cars instrument clusters and not on US ones.
My 01 did not have it, but after I bought one of the modified Canadian clusters from Black Cat Customs I now have a WRENCH LIGHT.
As well as my CHECK GAUGES LIGHT went to a symbol that has a oil pressure/fuel level symbol now.
Wouldn't say that... mine has it (2000 Cavalier Z24) Bought it here in the good old US of A
my 00' z24 has 63K no light .........only wen i was installin my tach and i grounded it wrong on stayed for 30 secs though.
