I think I know how most of you will answer this but since I have had my windows tinted...I have a heck of a time getting my car alram to work. I am told that it could be because It cannot read the sensor through the tint. Its hit or miss usually. Sometimes i just have to walk around the car and wave my hand up and down and SOMETIMES...I get lucky. Anyone else have this issue? What did or do you do??
yeah, sounds more like the battery is on its way out. on a side note, i had a similar issue, if i was more than 10' away from my car, it wouldnt work unless i held the fob to my chin. come to find out the antenna came unsoldered from the board. fixed it, and tested it from the sixth floor of a raddison, and it works perfectly from farther away than i could get to the car to stop someone from stealing it.

also depends on where you are as well. when im at work. i can be on one end of the building and remote start my car from the other end (300+ feet) when im at home sometimes i will need to go into the garage to get the car to start (10-20) so could be something like maybe your homes wifi. or someones security system or who knows what waves are floating thru the air disruppting the signal.

Are you talking about the proximity sensor?
Yes window tint will effect that, but they're also pretty hit and miss innately. Can you turn up the sensitivity?
