O god no, dont buy JVC speakers..... The sony's arent that bad but their not going to give you the best sound quality. also I hope you are not planning on buying 6 1/2 speakers for your car. The sizes that are ment to fit are 4x6 and 6x9 and tell you the truth to find the 4x6 in either of those speaker brands are going to be almost impossible. The best bet would to go with Pioneer speakers for that price range maybe even a little cheaper. That is unless you are looking for 6 1/2.

6 1/2 will sound much better than 4x6..

Unless you have a DSO feature on your head unit. the 6 1/2 will also be a pain in the @$$ to make a trim ring for.

lOl I don't think that dso will do anything and a adaptor is so easy to make, even a child can make one.

I made the adapter for the 5.25", so i will just cut it out to fit the 6.5's.

B]also I hope you are not planning on buying 6 1/2 speakers for your car.

??why not?

I agree with jype.....Please dont give advise on how hard it will be to make the bracket if you have never made one....
it actually took me approx 20-25 minutes to make from start to finish.
if you can hold a jig saw, drill(not at the same time) yuo can easily make the brackets....

Thanks for your replies...

I wouldnt go with either. You buy crap, you get crap. Look for some Infinity Referance series if your on a tight budget. They are much higher quality and can take a beating, and over all 10X's better then both of those two combined.

Ditto on the Infinity's... I just picked up two Reference 6.5's shipped for $59 from ebay.. and a reference 6.5" comp set for $104 shipped(going into kicks)..

Hey, i took a bit of all your advise:-)
didn't get any of those 2 speakers, but went with a 3 way kenwood......
i listened to every speaker best buy had set up, and in my price range these blew everything out of the water!!!
not sure if the wiring was messed on a 279 set of components, but these were definetely comparable in sound quality, to my ears......

Thanks for the replies....
i would have been stuck with a jvc, or a sony speaker...

the 6.5"'s in the front are a huge difference from my 5.25, rockfords.....

Assuming I get this job (80% sure Ive got it), I get product at invoice cost, I guess we'll see how low I can go.

I also have a pair of kenwoods in my front but they are 2-way 4x6, and are the only 4x6 i have ever liked in there. Also the only time i will buy kenwood probably, but these have a very crisp sound i like them. I usually stick to pioneer
