Ive got a pioneer deh-p840mp xm ready. I got the terk xm tuner/xm direct system. but i was curious, can I also plug in an mp3 player?

I know it plays mp3 discs, but the point is I would rather just plug it my 20 gig mp3 players. Then its all right there, the cd player doesnt do anything but play mp3 discs, which is nice. Id still rather just use my mp3 player. I was just curious as to how things would work with two things plugged in through the aux. I know they make the cb-rb20, and it allows you to attach rca's and then gives another aux plugin for another device.THanks for the effort thought i appreciate it. JUst curios to see if anyone has actually attached two things into aux I guess.

i dont think the xm tuner from terk has an ip bus input to pass through it like the pioneer xm tuner did.
No, but the cd-rb20 that he gives a link to plugs into the back of the deck, gives you a set of rca plug ins (which i would use for the mp3 player and then has an ip bus input the allows you to plug into something else, like the terk unit, or a cd changer. In theory it should work, just wondering if anyone had done it, or if i would be the first to try it.

I had a pioneer xm tuner and a dvd player on the CD-RB20, AND a Pioneer cd changer. Every time you would press the src button, it would shift between "am/fm" tuner, cd, xm sat, cd changer, and then aux. So yes, it will work fine.

NO, it wont....the terk xm direct package doesnt have a pass through for other ipbus devices. the only way to do both would be to get a pioneer xm tuner.

Craig, I know that. Thats why the cd-rb20. the cd-rb20 plugs into the deck, giving me the rca inputs needed for the mp3 player and it has a pass through for other ip bus devices. So the Terk will plug into the cd-rb20 and the cd rb-20 into the deck.
