Took out the bolts and didnt feel like just ripping stuff apart so decided to ask what i am SUPPOSED to do. Just lookin for some detailed instructions on how to get to the 6x4s in the front.
I just started messin with audio, and i have no clue what im doin. I can do anything with the engine or performance mods, never touched wiring before thats why im askin.
first problem i had on the doors was the manual windows crank.
any help will be appreciated.

some people use rags/forks..do yourself a favor go and get a crank removal tool..it'll probably run you about 8-9$. its a wide/flat fork that goes in between teh handle and the door to push out a c clip, just be carefull as when it comes off it might fly 20 feet so keep your eye on it.
then the visible screws at the botom of the door, 2 8mm bolts in the handle, then lift it up and off ...
im a best buy installer (worked in about 4-5 different shops) if you need any mroe jelp just email me. im sure you'll figure it out just have patience.
the plastic piece around the handle also has to come off, thats just clipped on, catch it right above the door handle and gently pry out that corner then pull it off.

yea ive got the whole door off except the crank. i dont really want to go buy a tool at the moment so if you could tell me the most bootleg way to get that off safely that would help.

use it then return it? or you can try other means and scratch your doors to $hit, break the clip or your handle doing god knows how much $$$ damage.
your call, some people ise a fork wit the 2 middle prongs taken out, some use a thin rag and slide it down between.
im a fan of doings things right, and not being so horny to get something done it doesnt get done properly. what would you do if a mechanic was working on your car using just a pair of vice grips so he doesnt have to walk back to his box to get the right tool...bet you you'd lose your mind...why expect any different of your self

the tool makes things very easy and is well worth it , i paid 6 canadian for mine. I however used to use a rag. Simply slide a rag in behind the crank and keep rotating it around the crank. Eventually it will grab the clip and pop it out. If you dont know what your doing or what the clip looks like , this will become very frustrating and will probably not work for you. Seriously , there are some things you can mickey mouse , this probably isnt one of them.
get the tool man, the cranks provided for a good 20-30 minutes of fustration to get them off, not to mention i lose a clip and had to get a new one. then i wised up and bought luvs...oh wait, i mean a window crank remover. yea, thats it.
hey i used the fork and it worked great, all i had to do was push off that C-clip.
my brother is a mechanic and he got home and i asked him how to do it and he grabbed the fork and did it for me in seconds, no scratching, no wasted money
I just used a flathead screwdriver...very carefully. Now I work in a shop, though (Circuit City), and the Snap-On guy gives us all a $5000 line of credit, no interest, no min. payment, so I'll be able to get the right toos to do things.
