Can you run speaker wires next to your power wire?
Monday, March 07, 2005 5:44 AM
Just curious. I will be running some Q form kick panel pods and the speaker wires will go underneath the threshold trim, probably right next to my power wire. Now, I know that you aren't supposed to run the RCA's next to your power wire because of noise interference. Will the same thing happen if I run the speaker wires right next to the power wire? Thanks in advance for any replies to this thread.

Trying to become the most modded out N/A 2nd gen sunbird 4 cylinder on the org with a..... screw that, I'm going turbo!!!

Even signal cables in car dont really matter too much. Remeber, everything is grounded to the body of the car anyway.

Unless you're pushing a lot of wattage (a couple thousand at least) you won't get any induction noise on your lines.

have you pinned down your noise cavi?

90% of the time noise in the system is caused by improper grounds.
