I read somewhere here that to get a "proper" sound stage you needed to provide the same amount of power to the front speakers as you do the rear. Well I have no rear speakers but my sub is at ~250 wRMS, and the components I have going up front only handle ~75 wRMS. I do not think it wise to put 250 wRMS to those components so could someone clear this up for me?
A proper soundstage would mimic how the music would sound live. This means that you would only have front speakers and should try to move you subwoofer to the front of the car. The point is so it sounds as if all of your music is comming from in front of you, bass included.
and for a proper soundstage you'd want as much power up front as your bass has. though that would only work for when your sitting and the cars off. once your driving youlle need more bass to compensate for the road noise. most people say 2.5x the highs for daily driving, but its really a personal preferance. your probalby right around where u want to be for driving around.
