Installing dual alternator

Hi, i am runnin a 98 sunfire 2200. right now i am running a stock alternator, but i also want to install a 200 amp alternator as well. i was thinking about trying to get it to go in the stock a/c location. does anyone have any info on doing dual setup's or installing such a setup.

Why dont you just upgrade to a 200 amp alt, and upgrade to a yellow top?

a 300 amp alt will fit the 2.2l motor. if u want a place to get them from find that post for the gp for the alts and i listed a number for dom his alts are great

alts for the 2.3/2.4(all years) are the same and the biggest you can get for them is a 200 amp. the 2.2L uses a gm large case alt.. Nothing needs to be mod. or moved to get a h.o. alt. to fit since it uses the stock case.

eh...i've heard to many problems with iraggi. taking WAY too long to build it...then fitment problems....

i'd suggest CALLING http://www.excessiveamperage.com and seeing what they can do for you.

While I've heard many people say that. I ordered two from him, got them in about three weeks, and they bolted right up. Didn't have any problems. You also have to think you will hear a whole lot more complaints from people because he does sell so many compared to other companies.

I just got a yellowtop and it helped
