Thanks all.

Last night I pulled the fuel rail, cut off the -6 inlet bung and welded on a -8. Re-"anodized" the rail and installed it. Then I completely plumbed the surge tank. Now it just needs to be wired and anodized.

Thanks all.

FINALLY got the lift off deck lid and the filler pieces under the tail lights painted, and the tail lights cleared. Im super happy with it. Especially since I dropped it off at the body shop monday night and picked it up today after work.

Im going to head out in a bit and get the license plate on and the plate lights wired up.

FINALLY, the surge tank is fully installed and ready to prime! I didnt think it would ever happen. Anyway, pics:

Wire feed thrus with nylon shoulder washer insulators. (the ground stud is longer so I can attach an insulated cover someday, maybe.

I sealed inside each pair of shoulder washers with E85 safe epoxy, and on the ground stud

all assembled.

dropping it in. Note the nice o-ring

lid all bolted down

wire harness connected

all bolted down

From the looking at the surge tank pics, it seems like the return line back to the main tank is located about 1/2 up on the surge tank. This would mean the surge tank would only ever be 1/2 full, correct? Wouldn't you want the return (to the main tank) to be as high as possible on the surge tank so it stays full most of the time?

Thats the feed. The return is the one closest to the top.

About a month ago I installed a new battery cutoff switch, a good one that will actually kill the motor when running. Novel idea I know. Anyway, it turned out pretty good I think and its MUCH nicer having it right where I can reach it. I dont know how many times I had to get back out of the car to run to the back and turn the GD power on.

I also did some rewiring of the fuse box for the new fuel pumps.

Yes, this picture sucks.

Last night I finalized the plumbing for the surge tank and mounted the new hall crank sensor. I still need to swap a few wires around at the MS then maybe I can start this pile again this weekend.

maybe i missed it but whats the point of having a cutoff on the dash? besides the obvious that its bigger than the key in the event of an emergency, anyway....
