the 2 litre and the 2.4 are the old neon and pt cruiser motor just updated, the 1.4 is an alfa unit. could possibly put the srt turbo set-up on the 2.4 but they have somehow integrated the alfa multiair system into it so it could have a completely different head.

The current 2.0 and 2.4 have NOTHING in common with the old engines. For one, they're now all aluminum construction where the old 2.0's and 2.4's had cast iron blocks and aluminum heads. Other than displacements they share very little in common. Current motors have VVT and roller cams where the old ones had hydraulic bucket lifters.
They're also shared by Mitsu and Hyundai, so the SRT4 Dart engine could very well be sharing quite a bit with the EVO X.
