still waiting on my new adaptor to show up
Here is a dumb question. Anyone know if it's ok to clear a cel with the car running? I did last night just curious if it's bad or not....
dont see why it would matter. i dont think it will actually clear until the next ignition cycle anyways.
and my new adaptor shipped out today. hopefully i have no problems with this one.
Ive always done it without any problems while running.
Anyone know if the basic version reads throttle position? Ive had a tps code and replaced the tps sensor, and it isnt reading throttle position. I was wondering if its because theres an issue or just the basic version doesnt use this feature.

Yeah it does if I recall. I have the pro version now lol.
new adaptor is at home in my mail box...gonna play with it tonight.
I still havent tested more with mine other than that it connects. I need to do a full out GPS and such test.

what do you blower guys see for IAT's? i was showing low 140's while cruising....but take into account that it was also 110 out at the time.
Thats about normal.

IAT's never went about 140 on the way to work. I got the pro version of the program to connect finally. Coolant temps got to about 207 with the a/c on if i sat at idle for a while, then went right back down to 200ish. But thats to be expected when its 113 outside. So no big deal. I'm not sure what the timing advance numbers mean, as I am still learning about tuning and stuff. I cannot seem to make it read knock though which kinda dissapoints me. I also had it show the vaccum/boost gauge, and it seems to be pretty accurate with the gauge i have in my pillar. so thats cool.
has anyone been able to get knock to read? if so, what setting/PID are you using?
Weird I can read knock just fine. Maybe it's a GM reflash thing?
Hmmm. In torque do this....
On the main screen of torque press your phones menu button,
Go to settings,
Scroll to manage extra pids/sensors,
Press menu again and go to clear list,
Then press menu again and tap add predefined set,
Then tap the Pontiac/GM option.
Then delete your non working guages and re do them.
Fyi if it doesn't say connected to ecu ok at the top then it will not show the data. And I highly doubt you will be able to read boost.
Another thing to check out is the adaptor status page. If it has any errors you won't connect either.

yup...i got it...the KR works now. what do you display on yours?
I have the min and max guage on mine. I average like 0.6 or so. Some times it goes to a little over 1 but I haven't tuned my timing tables at all.
ahhh the things i do at work...lol I just bleed my h/e system there was a bit of air in it. so maybe those temps will go down a bit. yeah ill test the KR readings out on my way home. so yeah. i should see almost none with the reflash though i think. i know it pulls redonkulous amounts of timing at any sing of anything wrong...so yeah.
So I just tested out the 1/4 mile and horse power parts. Well hp sounds about right, 270 was what I was averaging on that and that sounds about what I should be making. Now the 1/4 mile may be wacked. My best time was 16.2 at 105mph, lol I suck at launching, but thats like a supra time slip.

so for the horsepower measurements, do you have to do like a hard launch or what? how does that work?
HP you would do a 3rd gear pull, 4th gear would be more accurate but who wants to run all the way up to like 130?

anyone figure out how to read the logs yet?
magic? No you have to setup a profile. I think a cavy weights about 1180 kilos.

i have a profile set up and i am even on they forum. but the DEV doesnt have any way to read the logs yet that i know of.
