greenhornetz,
I think everyone was reacting in a negative way toward you because of the way you worded your initial post. It came out sounding like some kind of commercial:
"Don't bother with Company A and their backorders because NOW you can get the same product from Company B"
You could have just worded it a little more carefully - no big deal.
Keep in mind that Tabasco has been around forever and people are going to give him the benefit of the doubt over any newcomers as far as defending him goes.
It's all good - there's plenty of carbon fiber for everybody. Carbon fiber is expensive to make and form and an incredible pain in the ass for everyone but the consumer. There's gonna be high prices from some guys and delays all the way around.
I don't think anyone meant any harm. Sometimes what you type can be taken any number of ways by different people. There are no voice inflections or facial expressions to read the attitude behind it.
Mighty Jabba has spoken.
greenhornet: Man, seriously, I'm not bashing you. I may be a smartass, but I'm not slamming you at all.
It's all good like Jabba said - no hard feelings toward anyone here.........
Now, lets talk J's.....
ok, so back to the actual eyelids because i have what sounds to me like a stupid question, but i just don't know. thought i'd ask before i tried to get some money put aside to order these. how do you attach them? is it just double stick tape? thanks.
-john
Two things - double sided 3M tape and pop rivets. The instructions come with them.
I used 2 white gutter screws (don't rust) instead of the pop rivets, just so I could remove them if needed.
Not hard to install, and they look great IMO......
greenhornet: it takes alot to upset me. your post certainly didnt do that. im quite used to hearing about the b/o on these and a few other items. customers usually want what they want right now. some are cool about b/o's and others arent. its just part of the business...you take the bad with the good. but we're cool as far as im concerned
sykeeok: our eyelids have a tab that will attach over top of the headlights. then you put 3M tape on the corners and bottom. works well enough, but i would recommend you to put a small screw in the top tab. its good for driving fast and it will help prevent against theft too

thank you both very much. as soon as i get out of school so i can get some money i'll put some serious thought into these. i think they'll look killer with my vis invador hood and vis trunk.

1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
rodimus: ive got the molds.....just waiting to ship them off to the new manufacturer. as i said, i want to get the first batch of the 00-02s in, sell them (only 5 sets...and with the BO they are basically already sold), then take the $$ from them and order 5 sets of each style. from there they will be ordered as i get the orders for them in no less than 5 sets at a time.
